Our first official delivery

Today received the phone call from the shipping company that there is a delivery to Natural Art Garden Center. That was a weird feeling. I guess it is official and there isn't any turning back.

So, we got the starter posts for the greenhouse. It will be 48' x 48'. We have lots of rock to get through and hopefully it will go smoothly.

Scott met with the pole building salesman today and we are in the process of deciding on that building.

Greenhouse

Met with Bob, the owner of the greenhouse house company we are going to use. There are so many companies out there but Bob has been the one from the start. He is a small business and all of his parts are made in the USA in New Hampshire. He has been a gem to work with.

We finalized the details, added a few items, deleted some others. And I do believe we will have a much better working sales space than anything we have thought of before!!

Here is hopefully what the greenhouse will look like in the coming months. We should be building it by November. This is actually an organic raised on the farm restaurant.

We won't have as many doors and they will be french doors all glass no middle partitions in the glass. We are adding the knee wall for a detail that will blend the office and the greenhouse!!! Yay.
Lots of work to do in FIVE months.

FREE POWER COMES AT A COST...

So, if you were told that in order for you to get your power hooked up, you will have to pay $30,000.00?

That could buy a new pole shed x two. A new office space, pay for the Living Roofs for two buildings. Inventory. You get the pictue.

So, we started downsizing the project and trimming where we could. We did just that.

This week, Scott gets the phone call:

POWER MAN: "Are you sitting down"

Scott: Yes. (scrinching eyes, hoping the news isn't as bad as it sounds and wondering if he is going to have a heart attack if it is $30,000)

POWER MAN: Well, it isn't going to cost a dime. It is free, I worked it out, and got it to be zero. So, I hope that is alright.

Scott: I guess I owe you dinner.

POWER MAN: I will definitely take you up on that offer.

What a blessing this has turned out to be.
